Friends! As you know, it has been pouring almost every day recently; only today did the rain finally let up. As the Met Service advises, for the following fortnight, "widespread showers with gusty winds are expected on 2 to 3 days. In addition, short-duration thundery showers, mostly occurring in the afternoon are also likely on 7 to 9 days." Ergo those who have morning papers next week might wish to bring some study materials for the next subject to school in case a downpour traps us in school.

Whoa our class is quite pro! Won quite a bit for take 5.

Congrats to kams geks and skang who came in 2nd for amazing race! They had to run more than 4km to earn those medals so kudos to them! Congrats to yucong, vic and rainer for owning the talentime band category!

Ok but the main point of this post isn't exactly to congratulate those who deserve to be congratulated. It's for everyone to relive the HUM CHIN PENG HOKKIEN BAND's ownage performance!

today's mahjong-blackjack session was fun! hope some (or one) of you benefitted from weizhong's mahjong tutorial. maybe we can finish our game next time. haha for banluck i lost all my chips but at least i cleared my debts eh. and dinner at fishnco was even better with the interrogation team. this is the 1st cny i spent with classmates and i had a great time but too bad wasted forgot to take pics for memories. happy cny everyone.

Hey how did y'all find today's senior-junior interaction?

I think it was more fun than I had expected haha. All thanks to the usual jokers in our class who never fail to lift spirits up during this kind of lame games. Seriously! I think we were more enthu than our juniors lah.

Let's try to inject some of our enthusiasm into them next time... I think they need some. Most of the time we got high ourselves only. -_- I happened to notice that when our class was laughing like mad, most of them were just like o.o They must think we have a weird sense of humour heehee.

And guys, next time don't hide behind the girls when approaching the junior class please. -_-

The venue has been changed from my house downstairs to Marina Square where our first class outing was held. This is to cut down unnecessary cost (of booking the multi-purpose room) and hassle (of bringing down food). HOWEVER, the gift is still a MUST! :D Start hunting now.

UPDATES YO!

Only 15 people have responded to the poll (ok actually not bad lah) and it SEEMS like we're gonna have it on 29/12 which is a Saturday!

Whichever date it's gonna be on, just wanna tell you all that attendees are to bring FOOD. COOKED FOOD. Yes it's gonna be a potluck, just to keep things simple. If you have some conscience you would bring nice food. and QUITE A LOT OF IT. (Trying to exert peer pressure.)

Another thing you HAVE to bring is, A GIFT. It has to cost around 5 to 10 bucks. Just a rough guide in case 1) you people are too kiamsiap or 2) you people are too generous. (Hope it's the latter.) The gift is for a gift exchange we'll be having, so errr try to buy more generic stuff. Sometimes it can turn out pretty embarrassing if you don't... :/ Those who have had experience of that will know what I mean.

Mmm that's all for the moment. It's most probably gonna be on the 29th (I'm 95% sure?) so those who can make it on that day can start preparing the gifts already! :D

Yea, with Council Retreat we automatically lose four people (Tan Chen, Janice, Ian, Linxi). To get the Councillors we'll probably need to put our class outing during Council-Oteam blockout, although according to Ian, blockouts don't count for much.

Whatever the case, I think we'll have to put in a bit more work to secure attendance given our clashing schedules during the holidays and that we're no longer meeting each other in school. I have a suggestion! Let's come up with 4 dates in the next two weeks (2 weekday days, 2 weekend days) and call the whole class to check their availability on these dates. And then decide on the date with the highest number of people going. It'll take a bit of work, but this way we can get a bit more people to go, and we can split the work among 4 people so each one is in charge of only 7 people.

hello people. yes it's time to blog since it's the hols and we don't get to see each other everyday. so please blog lah thanks.

i shall start by updating you guys on our probable christmas party on 23/12. i thought of using my house downstairs as the venue. it'll require money to book the bbq pit (around $15) and the multi-purpose room (around $50). being budget-conscious, of course we will try to see if it's possible to just loiter around the bbq pit but not book it so that we won't have to pay at all. but if somebody books the pit for that day then we'll be doomed.

by the way my house is in the west, bukit panjang. and this is only one possible venue, not confirmed.

i think we should start planning for class cip soon.

AND class learning journey (whatever that is).

WARNING: EMO POST AHEAD

I don’t know whether any of you feel this way, (okay hmm… how many of us visit this blog frequently in the first place?) but oh well, this is what I feel.

It’s been a really challenging year. We started out from not knowing each other much or at all, having to go out of our comfort zone to make new friends, and ended off as it is today. I would say, thankfully, we have all found people in class that have similar frequencies as us and people that we feel comfortable hanging around.

School has ended and it feels weird. During the school term, I’ll be anxiously waiting for the November / December break to come but now that it’s here, I actually missed the days we spent as a class in school. It feels out of place not having to wake up early, go to school with those dreary eyes, walking from this place to the next, talking and laughing along the way.

Those moments we spent as a class, like class camp, class chalet (that was about half the class though), class games, are moments that I truly treasure. Thank you our dear welfare reps Victor and Kaiqi for organizing these activities! I know we may not bond entirely as a class in the end because of the differences we have, but I’m glad that at least we can still converse with one another and not treat certain people as though they were non-existent.

I don’t know what will become of us next year. Hopefully we won’t all turn into super muggers and drift away from one another. But before that comes another hurdle – PW OP. The good thing is that yay we’ll all see each other again tomorrow! Good luck fellow 5B-ians!

PS to Kaiqi: I WANT TO GO PLAY! Can we play badminton? Heh I can get the keys to set up the badminton court. :)

CLASS CHALET 07!

day 1:
very few people at first. victor yucong geks stacy and i. we went to ESCAPE to escape from the boredom since there was nothing much to do at the chalet with only 5 people. turned out that there was nothing much to do at escape too. all the rides were quite sian, except for go-kart. that was the only fun ride, even though i drove slowly. jan came halfway when yucong wanted to grab a bite and we thought of a clever plan to sneak her into escape! heehee! but i won't tell you how. i think we started playing more stuff after jan arrived, like going on go-kart and the inverter again, flippy, haunted house, the cheap thrill mini-rollercoaster, etc. i also had a really wet experience at the super long slide. (i think it's called wet 'n' wild?) the rest didn't want to get wet so only victor and i went on it. actually halfway i wanted to chicken out and climb out of the boat haha! but in the end the ride was o-kayy lah. didn't feel like i was falling off. still, we got really wet! :/ had dinner at the food court after that. poor geks felt unwell. actually the rest of us were also feeling either queasy or dizzy. a day at escape can make you rather tired physically.

we got back to the chalet in time for the 9 oclock show haha! but that episode was super draggy and boring; didn't get to see a second of thomas ong at all lah. that night meiyi, linxi, zhenggang, ernest, samuel and weizhong came. i can't remember the order of arrival now. but zhenggang and linxi arrived very smoothly without much help. stace, jan and i fetched meiyi from downtown east and on the way there, met a group of drunk youngsters in the chalet asking us to drink. the girl sounded like some ah-lian lah. we just ignored her but she just became even more hostile. we knew if we were to walk back by the same way we'd surely get into trouble, so we avoided that way. ernest and samuel totally arrived like some terrorists; they banged the door and plastered their faces to the door, demanding us to open the door. as if their faces weren't retarded enough, they wore their towels around their heads. some weird trend that squashers have. we relented and opened the door to them and immediately, the house became damn noisy. linxi zhenggang and ernest soon went out to have supper and cycle till the wee hours. poor weizhong was in school till really late. i had my phone beside me but i fell asleep and didn't wake up till around 3am. then i checked my phone and thought that weizhong was stuck somewhere in the chalet cause his most recent reply was to ask about the house number. i was really horrified and asked him where he was. i think jan and stace woke up then. i told them about weizhong being stuck somewhere in the chalet and they seemed confused. they said, "weizhong? weizhong's upstairs what." but it didn't sink in. then weizhong and samuel came down from the stairs and i was really surprised to see weizhong. but i should have known weizhong isn't dumb enough to be stuck somewhere in the chalet. heard that they let him in when i was sleeping. wahhh how come i slept like a log that i didn't even realise?!

since we were quite awake by then, we chatted for quite a while. or rather, someone would just speak a sentence, then it would be followed by a few moments of silence/stoning, then someone would speak again. at some points i just pretended i was sleeping lah HAHA. (inside joke) then weizhong went upstairs to sleep as he had to go to school for lessons in the morning. samuel went up to check on him after a while and he was scared of what he saw (or rather, what he didn't see) so he called me. when i looked into the bedroom, there was no one on the bed!!! wahlao damn scary lah. and weizhong isn't that kind who will hide in the closet to scare you. we wondered how he had disappeared into thin air. then suddenly this figure rose from behind the two beds and we both got a shock! turned out that he was sleeping on the ground to make himself uncomfortable so that he wouldn't oversleep. -_- but we persuaded him to sleep on the bed and set alarm. sometimes weizhong can be so rational that he becomes illogical. well, that's weizhong for you.

meiyi was really hungry and couldn't wait for the 1 hour delivery that macs was going to take, so she walked to downtown east macs alone, which to me was rather dangerous. luckily she arrived there before the rain turned heavy and also managed to return safely. the remaining 4 of us, in the meantime, played cluedo. the interesting thing was that we were all wearing the same colour shirts as our characters: samuel as ms scarlet, jan as mrs peacock, stace as mrs white and i as colonel mustard. then we also played fortune-telling. actually it was more for samuel and jan. stace dealt out the cards. for samuel it was totally accurate. for jan, even without her saying who, i already know who the cards were for. HAHA. and i didn't want to play so i fell asleep. again. -_-

day 2:
had breakfast at macs. was stoning at first, then we started talking about the night. samuel made some good jokes huh. went back to chalet. played cluedo, this time with 6 players, so it became even more difficult. everyone became trickier, even newbies like ernest. from the start i already knew i was the murderer lah, but everyone was so concerned with the murder weapon. hahahaha CANDLESHOP! and ernest, being so tricky, made everyone cross out wrong weapons! haha. in the end everyone became damn sian and kept sabotaging other people who had at least a clue what's going on by purposely calling them into the rooms that were already eliminated. i want to thank mrs peacock for dragging me into the dining room when i was just one more turn away from reaching the billard room lah. so we just ended the game by making everyone guess... and victor got it right! we didn't want another round of that anymore so we just slacked around. weiren and eugene soon arrived. jan and stace wanted to have a k-session upstairs by using meiyi's laptop. so the girls migrated upstairs and locked ernest and samuel out. at first they just kept banging on the door, but soon they grew tired and had their own singing session downstairs. actually, it was more like a screaming session. they screamed songs like way back into love, you're beautiful and wake me up when september ends. i didn't know whether it was more entertaining or disturbing. haha should have recorded their noise down. we let weiren and eugene in, and after quite long, the terrorists downstairs declared a war. they demanded that we open the door or they would plant a bomb. the way weiren negotiated was really amusing. he was too much of a gentleman to even negotiate lah. he was like, "ernest, what do you want?" but he sounded more like a mother haha. whereas the girls were just like, "get lost lah!" haha see the difference? of course we didn't believe them, but they did unlock the room and started throwing balls at us. our arrows didn't work at all, unfortunately. had a pillow fight: jan stace and i vs samuel and ernest. the rest chickened out and left the room to avoid being hurt. stace soon left us after our first win. but jan and i, as loyal members of our territory, continued to fight on. the terrorists demanded more rounds. so fine lah, who scared who. we lost the other 2 matches, but gracefully! we had put up a great fight, jan! but on the other hand, samuel kang, an able-bodied young man, was whacked many times by me. all our pillows were stolen by ernest instead. haha lousy! after our 3 rounds of pillow fights, we suffered injuries and finger cramps from grabbing the pillows so hard. it was really tiring! the room looked like a battlefield after we left to rest.

weiren eugene samuel stacy meiyi and i went out for lunch while jan geks victor and ernest stayed in the chalet. samuel left after lunch for training and ernest too. the rest of us went to play arcade. kellynn met us there. there was my current favourite, photohunt, but the machine was damn lousy; cannot see the entire screen and it was not very sensitive. but we were quite stoned too so we lost very quickly. x( went to play pool after that. after 1 hour, victor geks and jan joined us. nadiah and fizah arrived too. it became more fun with more people around. i think most games are just more fun when played with more people. we also tried teaching aunty jan how to pool! haha. not bad she learnt quite fast.

we rushed back to collect the bbq stuff that we ordered when victor received a call from the caterer. the fire was started by the eugene and the rest of the guys while the girls just went upstairs to play blackjack! xD we changed game. the objective was to get the highest sum of 5 cards. i kept losing so i decided to change the objective. now the one with the lowest sum would be the winner. and sian, i got the highest. -_-

then the fire was ready. zhenggang and weizhong came back. weizhi and samantha also came in the middle of the bbq. there were around 17 of us at the bbq, which was not a bad turnout but there was still too much food for everyone since we ordered for 20+ people! so we stuffed ourselves as much as possible and the rest was finished up by the guys at night as their supper. jan and geks went home, and i thought i had to watch the 9 oclock show alone. but kellynn ernest and even nad and fizah watched with me! nad is considerably a pro at recognising channel 8 artistes! victor came into the house to watch for a while and to criticise thomas ong. -_- the 3 girls soon left and after the show ended i was already lying on the mattress, ready for bedtime. i fell asleep the earliest, expectedly. -_-

day 3:
woke up the first time to find weiren walking around. the second time i woke up again to find weiren standing at the foot of the mattresses, staring at us sleeping. sian, i thought he just couldn't get to sleep, so i refused to get up and covered my head with the blanket. then he said, "it's 7.45 already." which meant that we were way behind schedule, so i had to get up. no one else was up. poor weizhi was sleeping on a chair. i'm really sorry that i didn't realise how difficult it was for most of them to catch some sleep until i read stacy's post. after i washed up, i went upstairs to wake people up, but i saw weiren using his 'eye-power' again! it's really quite funny to see how he tried to wake people up. he didn't even say a thing, he just stared at them sleeping, hoping that they would wake up. HAHA! well it worked on me, but it didn't work on meiyi and eugene. so i had to be the bad guy and nudge those two to wake them up. and even then when weiren finally woke them up verbally, he was so gentle about it. for me i usually would just shout lah haha.

after everyone had washed up, we packed our things, tidied up the place a little and set off for school without having breakfast. it was a really long bus ride, but that was a good thing cause we all got to sleep on the ride. all except weiren. -_- oh well he's just too responsible. i don't get how someone like him can sleep so little.

that's all for class chalet! victor and i concluded that it was not too bad a chalet, although it could have been better. i know we didn't do many things during the 3 days because most of us just felt too sian to do outdoor activities, but i'm just glad most people made the effort at least to come down. it's really the company that counts, and be it just stoning or playing games, i had much fun! :) next year's chalet will be even better! hopefully next year we won't mug till we forget what's fun.

Class Chalet III

Ok the continuation of the bbq part. We rushed back to find that actually there weren't many stuff to carry. So all the carrying was done by vic, kaiqi, eugene and weiren. Thanks to them for that :) Then eugene started the fire, with weiren helping a bit while the girls went up to the room to play cards.

We played blackjack. Haha nad learnt how to play a certain card game for once! In the end we got quite sian of blackjack so we decided to play who has the biggest number - each person got 5 cards each and we added all the numbers up to see who has the largest sum. Kams was the one giving out the cards and whenever she gave jan cards she'll jinx them (keep saying BAD LUCK... BAD LUCK). Lol but I wished jan good luck, which countered kams' bad luck and made jan win! YAY! In the end we concluded that jan is kams' lucky star, i'm jan's lucky star and by the theory of what goes around comes around, kams should be my lucky star. K but that's not important. The funny thing was kams kept losing and having to shuffle that she decided to change the game to who has the smallest sum. And jan won again. Hahahaha.

After awhile the girls went down to help cook. Meiyi was super amused by the way the food was turning out cuz the food looked so nicely cooked. She got eugene to take pics of the fire, the food etc. Oh yar... must thank the lifeguard for setting up the fire also right. Anyway there was a surplus of food (shall spare you all the economic concepts and stuff) cuz some people didn't turn up [hor hor]. Mr neo didn't come too. (was doing befriender guard duty with eugene and meiyi and met mr neo outside the pac. he says sorry for not turning up cuz he went home after marking papers and plonked on his bed at 8pm. so he didn't come. he'll come when there are no papers to mark though. which calls for another class outing at the end of the year? hope so.) Ate until super full. Samantha came about 8 plus I think. Then yucong and ernest came too around that time.

Then meiyi, eugene, weiren, samantha and I wanted to go upstairs to play cards. It was quite funny cuz weiren was lagging behind then turned out that only eugene, meiyi and I were in the room at first. And he blurted out some funny quote (quotes seen on meiyi's blog). We were playing bridge at first and unsurprisingly, samantha kept owning. Weiren and weizhi came later and we started playing asshole daidee. Haha weizhi was always the asshole and eugene the close-to-asshole. I think weizhi got tired of having to shuffle cards after a while. The rest of the class, like kams, was watching the ch 8 9pm thomas ong show downstairs. That show is quite alright I suppose. Jan, kams, yucong and I were watching it on mon night when the chalet was still quite spacious. We were sprawled on the mattresses, lying down and watching the show. Before that show was xiao4 hua1 xiao4 cao3 and jan and I were rating the guys who appeared on the show. Haha quite funny. But the guys we rated quite well didn't progress into the later rounds. ><

Back to tuesday night. After the card games we decided to go down to help clear up the area. And it was then that we realised kellynn, nad and fizah already left. >< And the area was pretty much cleared up already. Oops. Sorry! Never help clean up much. Weiren, eugene, meiyi and I decided to take a walk to the vending machine cuz weiren was feeling thirsty. The guys went to the vending machine while meiyi and I explored the pool toilets. The doors to the female toilet is kinda weird / cool whichever way you look at it. It's not a full door, more like a half-door haha.

Then we came back to the bbq place where ernest was firing marshmallows using the skewer. First shot flew over the roof and landed near the swimming pool. Then some shots flew on the roof etc. I wonder what the cleaning people will think when they see marshmallows everywhere. We were saying later the security guard comes and sees ernest firing marshmallows then die... and true enough, a security guard did come by, but only to warn us not to make so much noise.

After washing up and so on, weiren, eugene, meiyi and I went to the poolside to talk. We brought cards along haha and eventually played truth or dare. Whoever drew a card from the hearts suit was the victim. The dare wasn't very outrageous cuz it was super late at night / early in the morning and we didn't want to wake people up.

We were tired in the end and decided to go back to sleep. But then other people were already occupying the beds, so they sent me to check out the "occupant situation" of the chalet cuz I'm supposedly the one who would make the least noise. Kams, victor and weizhong were sleeping downstairs while ernest and weizhi took a bed each upstairs. Seeing that there wasn't much space left for four people - there weren't any blankets left to lay on the floor to sleep too, so we went to sleep on the couches at the reception area till we got chased away.

Weiren went back to sleep in the chalet cuz he had a sleeping bag while eugene, meiyi and I went to macs. That was about 4am already and macs was serving breakfast by that time. Eugene went to buy some breakfast meal and we all just slept on the tables. I woke up after about an hour cuz it was super super cold. In the end, meiyi realised it was super cold too so we all just woke up and returned to the chalet after meiyi went to eat her hotcakes meal. Met weizhi along the pool when we were walking back. Just nice, he woke up while we were just going to sleep. The three of us slept on the beds upstairs... don't know when ernest left and gave his bed to eugene though.

Slept till about 7.45am when weiren woke us all up. I thought it was only 6.30am cuz that's the time we told ourselves that we would wake up. But we still made it to school in time for op briefing, which is a good thing. All of us ended up sleeping on the bus haha. That is, eugene, weizhong, victor, weizhi, weiren, kams, meiyi and I.

When we got back to school... heh I guess you all would know what happened after that. Bleh back to reality I suppose. Class chalet allows you to escape work and just play your heart out. Oh wells... maybe it's the harsh reality that makes us appreciate the fun times more! :)

CLASS CHALET TWO (thank god it's TWO and not some other irritating number.)

Yar Skang, you're right. Your post gave me the inspiration to blog :) But yucks I think this post is quite boring o.o

So I shall blog the continuation of what skang blogged and make some clarifications to what he already blogged.

1) Ernest and your performance was more amusing than amazing. Hahaha yes I videoed you all but then cannot hear what you all are singing. And I only managed to video two 10-second clips because my phone gives me max 10-second each clip only (so lousy).
2) Okay I admit that you all own the pillow fight haha. YOU ALL ARE PRO. I didn't realise that you all had to key to unlock the room door. So when you all were bombing I was thinking anyway you all cannot enter right, so how to come in and bomb?
3) Skang is a pro cluedo player. So scheming. RIGHT, MISS SCARLET? Lolx. When mrs white was about to win, miss scarlet called mrs white to the library. ><>
4) Ernest is also a pro cluedo player. Even though you cancel out the wrong things, but your words make other players cancel out wrong things too. Hmm... mind tricks. Haha made me believe that you had three weapons at first but you didn't! PRO.
5) And of course the pro-est of all is victor cuz he won the 6 person game (highest level of difficulty). By luck? Don't know but victor is smart XD

The continuation...
After skang left kams, meiyi, eugene, weiren and i went to the arcade to play. The rest were back at the chalet playing volleyball etc. At first we played the three player game thing. Don't know what it's called but it's very very fun. The only thing is that bleh the controls don't work properly. Then we played car racing - me, kams, eugene, weiren and kellynn (she met us there). Wah I was leading at first. So nice lah. Lead for 2 laps I think and some stupid green car came and overtook me because I crashed into the side when I turned the car. But muahahahaha I overtook the green car again for the next lap. Then again, for the final lap I crashed into the side AGAIN and the green car won. Eeyer meanie green car. Next game: PHOTOHUNT! Ahh that was fun but I think we were all quite lousy. Eh actually it wasn't our fault cuz the screen didn't show the full picture. Spent quite a bit of $$ here.

Next up: POOL! I'm super lousy at pool. Haha so I pretty much malu-ed myself. But I got a bit better thanks to mr imba (actually a lot of people are miles better than me so they are all relatively imba). Shot 5 balls in yeah! :) The 6 of us split up into 3 v 3 and played 2 games. I think I lost the first one cuz some imba person went to hit the black ball in despite us leading, and won the second one heh! I don't really care about the scores... most important thing is we all had fun and yeah I get to improve a teeny weenie bit. Then *scary music plays* the ultimate pro (VICTOR) came and my skills dropped like mad. In the face of a pro, every move we make must be super cautious and well-planned cuz he's seriously too pro for any room for errors, which made me super nervous and made silly shots. Janice looks really really funny when she shoots! :) GOT PICTURE!!! Someone post it. Yay janice shot some balls in too!

After that, it was back to the chalet for bbq.

Rawr... maybe someone else will help continue this some other time cuz I'm tired ><. Gotta go memorise some tour routes and important school info and locations of academic programmes etc.

Anyway JIA YOUS FOR THE BEFRIENDERS: jan, samantha, meiyi, lorraine, linxi, eugene, wei zhong, tan chen, ian and myself. Have fun guarding, roaming (and maybe dancing if we can't escape it since all roamers are expected to dance) tomorrow!

back from chalet!

this post is gonna be a dry one... just an announcement:

chalet was fun, but it came with a price (literally). we will only be collecting money from those who came and ate, namely:

(for chalet)
meiyi, linxi, ernest, weizhong, eugene, kaiqi, yucong, janice, samuel, weiren, victor, stacy, weizhi, gekmin and zhenggang

(for bbq)
meiyi, ernest, weizhong, eugene, kaiqi, kellynn, samantha, yucong, janice, nadiah, fizah, weiren, victor, stacy, weizhi, gekmin and zhenggang

we know that some of you stayed over in the chalet for only one night or perhaps even less, but we'll still have to split the cost of the chalet equally since we all made use of the chalet. don't worry, the cost of the chalet itself is really affordable. each person will only have to pay $8 as yucong helped to cut the cost down to just $120 for 3 nights (thanks yucong!). but we cannot guarantee the same for the bbq as we catered for slightly more than 20 people but there were a few who backed out. so each person has to pay $9.20 for the bbq. the bit of extra money will be directed to our class fund.

collection will start next week. please bring enough money so we don't have to keep asking you for money everyday. -_- thanks!

a big thanks also goes out to ernest for bringing the balls, some drinks, tongs and biscuits;
fizah for bringing marshmallows and satay sticks;
eugene for starting the fire;

CLASS CHALET 1 (hopefully there'll be more to come :D)

okay this is my first post here for quite some time so since its after promos and im quite free i'll try to make it longer to revive the blog which has been dead for 3 days alr. and some ppl say my posts are good too so i have new motivation to blog again. haha. i apologise in advance if this turns out boring and i waste a few minutes of your life cos im feeling quite tired now.

anyway class chalet just ended this morning! though it seems like long ago cos i missed the bbq and the 2nd night stayover. i think we all owe kamqi and victor a big thank you for organizing all the activities and stuff. and yucong for helping book the chalet and getting the bbq pit! and ernest for bringing all the balls. namely the soccer ball, basketball, volleyball, tennis ball, rugby ball, pingpong ball, golf ball and squash ball. and the drinks too (: and anyone else i missed out.

so some ppl managed to meet earlier and go to the chalet at around 1plus. unfortunately i was only able to join them at night when i came with ernest (thankfully cos i had no idea where the place was and was probably gonna get lost and asked by aunties to go drinking). once at the quite-hard-to-find chalet, we met victor and gekmin, linxi and zhengang, kamqi, janice, stacy and meiyi. yucong had alr left. some of them were roaming around by the pool while the others were gossiping about god knows what haha.

tired from training, ernest and i jumped onto the comfy (or so we thought) beds to rest a while. it was quite a good rest except for ernest's hand around me and the squeaking of the beds. meiyi was watching bleah on her comp and i found some of the sounds amusing enough to fall asleep. then linxi and zg came back and went with ernest to changi village to grab a bite. so that left myself, janice, kamqi and meiyi in he chalet. everyone seemed tired (except meiyi and stacy) so we rested for a while.

after waking up, i went to watch tv downstairs and spotted weizhong wandering outside so i let him in before any ahbengs could grab him and start drinking. we talked for a while then went upstairs to build bridges with stacy and meiyi (ok not funny). then we decided to be hardworking and revise some math so we started calculating the different ways of distributing the 52 cards. stacy and weizhong were engaged in a high quality discussion while i was 10 steps behind them :/ suddenly!, weizhong got a msg from kaiqi saying where the chalet is cos she obviously didnt know he was in alr. so the look on her face was quite funny when she saw weizhong later.

meiyi felt hungry so we decided to call the trio at changi to get some food back. unfortunately, they said they were playing with coconuts at the beach and would only be back at 6plus in the morning. so meiyi decided to go to macs to get sth to eat. terribly bored and sleepy, the remaining 4 of us (excluding weizhong) decided not to go back to sleep but instead play some games. this was after using cost-benefit analysis of the situation at hand. hence we decided to go back to the good old days of orientation and play cluedo! (:

i didnt know how to play at first and it seemed extremely confusing and hard. but after some lessons from kamqi, we all were finally ready to begin intensive cluedo-ing. so our first game was rather long and i was totally lost and had no chance of winning. but it was quite fun and such a coincidence that all 4 of us were wearing the colours of our character (haha lol). we played one more game and meiyi came back and fell asleep shortly afterwards. weizhong was alr asleep cos he had to leave at 7 in the morning to return to the dreaded place called school and was quite tired. poor guy la got physics h3 homework somemore. vic and geks were also backing sleeping alr.

our brains were being drained by cluedo (well at least my was) while ernest, linxi and zg were being drained physically cos they were busy cycling around the entire changi area. we were falling asleep so decided to change game and play fortune telling. ok i couldnt come up with names at all so it wasnt accurate for me. but i think it was for janice and stacy, to some extent. haha. at that time it was alr reaching 7am so weizhong got up and got ready to leave for sch. the cyclists came back from their adventure at that time.

breakfast was a tired time when i was trying to keep my eyes open (though its easier for me cos my eyes bigger so take longer time to close than most ppl). went back to chalet after that and played somemore games this time with ernest and victor ended up winning cluedo. he was so brillant everyone thought he cheated. but we all know he smart la well done victor. meiyi went back to use her comp and the girls went upstairs after a while. ernest and i were left alone downstairs so we started a performance.

we were singing songs which were so pleasing to the ear that everyone upstairs wanted to record it and they stopped everything they were doing to listen to our beautiful voices. we sang our final song- wake me up when september ends and everyone was wide awake after that cos it was 2 october and september had just ended (: weiren and eugene had heard our fantastic singing from far far away and were drawn naturally to it and managed to find the chalet that way. so they came in and wanted the best seats for my solo of 'the great escape' so went upstairs as well. this was while ernest was trying to get into the bedroom after they had locked it.

he used the hey to open the door and we started bombing them with all of his balls. haha 2 ppl totally owned to 6 of them. eugene, weiren and meiyi fled in fear of our superior skills and the remaining three fought with us using pillows. as usual, it was no sweat defeating them and stacy feld as well. haha so it was 2 guys against the two girls now. we gave them a short break to catch thier breath before whacking them like crazy till they admitted defeat and used the excuse of being exhausted to get away. ernest and i only then broke a drop of sweat. haha. ok kidding la they quite good whack me like siao i also quite tired.

then it was nearly time for lunch alr (time flies like ernest when you're having fun). vic and ernest wanted to swim so they did (so that means ernest is either a duck, penguin or a flamingo or some other bird capable of getting in water. jance and geks decided to stay and play volleyball so the rest of us went to the air-conditioned (thankfully) foodcourt for lunch. it was damn hard to stay awake at that time cos i was super super tired. but i bet it was harder for kamqi cos she looked even more like a zombie then. ernest and i left after lunch so we missed the rest of the acitivities.

well i wished i could have gone for the bbq and go to sch together with everyone but i couldnt make it :( but im glad i went home in the end and got some sleep cos i was dead tired and fell asleep 5 seconds after seating down on the bus. yup i bet the rest had hell a lot of fun with retarded neo at the bbq. haha.

so thats all for my round up of the chalet hope this inspires you to blog (but not as bad as this post) about the chalet especially about the bbq. thank you everyone for making it enjoyable! yup so

HEY PEOPLE

welfare is planning to hold our class chalet on tentative 1,2 and 3 october (mon-wed), 3 days 2 nights. downtown east.
i know it's abit short notice but we have our reasons for it:

there is no school on these 3 days.
we were thinking about ponning 2 days of school during one of the following weeks but we would get in trouble if we pon as a class.
it's off-peak rate because it is not weekend/holiday. if we wait for school hols its too long and even more ex.
we have to start on our pw ops right after that. so have fun 1st rite!
we can go school together on 3oct wednesday for pw op briefing!

It was a HAPPY afternoon today!

66.7% of the class handed in math assignment 6 today, and most did without me asking them to hand it in. Oh but wei zhong did say that there were only two questions to do anyway. Haha then again, in any case, it's an ACHIEVEMENT!

Seven out of eight people turned up for PE.

And our class totally owned at floorball again! If jan and geks were in our group we'll own even more!

Just some math-related statistics and observations...

Stats 1: Our class has a higher percentage of A's than passes for math cts according to the analysis shown during lecture. BUT how can the percentage of passes be lower than the percentage of A's when those who scored A's passed?

Stats 2: 50% of our class handed in math assignment 5 today. It is promising and hopefully tomorrow that percentage will increase. (Please hand in your assignment ok. And there's one more due next monday... sorry for the HORROR. Finish the assignments and you can go on a five-day national day holiday break and forget about math for a while.)

Observation 1: Kellynn and I concluded that the demand for Weiren's math assignment is perfectly price inelastic, meaning his math assignment has already become a necessity.

Observation 2: Our class, or at least those who stayed back to finish math assignment today, is pretty helpful because we help each other out to finish the assignment accurately. When answers differ after corroborating assignments, the owners of both sources will double-check their workings and figure out who's wrong or right, and from there, we derive reliable, useful and accurate answers. Yay our class has nice people! :)

For those pulling late nights and sleeping in every morning, it's also important to start accustoming ourselves to waking up early, so that we'll not find it difficult to get a good night's sleep before the 8-am Physics paper on Thursday. (Imagine laying wide awake on bed on Thursday morning at 2.00 am. How are you ever going to obtain enough sleep to perform at your optimum for the paper next morning?)

Tiny laughed. He looked around to make sure the professor hadn't noticed then he turned to Bubba. "Bubba, you're so stupid. Everyone knows Old MacDonald had a FARM."

"yesterday: weiren and i won ernest and victor in full court 2v2 floorball!!! wooohoooo. i don't think i can trust ernest and victor anymore, when they say they're damn pro at floorball. haha! kidding. they put up a good fight, using speed to score against us. cheater, made use of the fact that i couldn't run right. but we also cheater lah, cause they were using left-handed sticks. we must have a rematch!!! :D maybe this time we'll get more people to play. i think floorball is turning into our class sport... the guys like it and so do the girls! :) damn on siaaa..."

good luck for tmr! after our cts we can chill out and have some bonding activities again! i realised how different it was at the beginning of the year (when we played captain's ball or retarded games almost everyday) and at this time of the year. the worst is yet to be, but hang on and don't burn out! :)

i think we should have a class outing during june hols! since we can't have a chalet as previously promised. x( i saw this poster in school today. it's some buffet at some place to raise funds for some charity. uhhh i don't know lah but the event looks promising. on the last thursday night of this term. interested? the buffet is $20 per person though.

alternatively, we shall just have our usual kind of class outings. but i think we should do something a little bit different each time, otherwise we will get sian-ed. and attendance rate might drop even more! -GASPS! hopefully this june hols we can borrow a bit of all of your time, especially people who haven't been turning up for outings. of course, outings are totally optional. but only you can decide what memories you want to have at the end of these 2 years.

as for people who have turned up for outings: y'all damn on man! thanks for making outings fun, even when they were badly planned, or rather, unplanned. haha. your spontaneity has made outings worth going for. victor and i will try to plan better outings each time!

sentosa outing was fun:)

actually quite little pple turn up:( got victor, weizhi, ernest, ian, skang, kaiqi, stacy, linxi, me. but its ok we went anyhow and played stupid stuff like frisbee, soccer and either self dunk or everyone gets dunked anyhow. stupid. victor and skang, you watch out!

before they dunk they will ask you got bring extra clothes not. this is when you don't reply or say no. then they will say i don't believe you and drag you in. humph.

hahaha sorry kaiqi:P cos when they were draggin her she say no extra shorts then i say i have extra, so she also kanna dunked.

then after shower, we went to cam whore at imbiah! photos i will put at photobucket, go help yourself. if you want the original one just ask for it. anyhow it was quite fun lah even though we end so early cos everyone was really very very tired.

Maths tutorial test 2

I'm still brooding over it.

It's actually highly ironic. Here I am, wallowing in self-pity over my move to skip the six-mark Question 4, while leaving the Physics books untouched for tomorrow's Physics class test.

But really. When the method came to my mind just before my Japanese lesson started, I just felt like jumping off the building—I was already on the seventh storey anyway. (The Jap classroom is all the way on the seventh storey because, well, that's where all the skirts fly, and the Japanese teacher is rumoured to have the power to position the Jap classroom in the building.)

I wouldn't be feeling so bad if the question was some killer, because I can conveniently attribute it to a sadistic tendency of the Maths Department that wouldn't repeat itself in the all-important A-Levels. But no, it wasn't, and I couldn't get it. Argh.

Note: Many people have different encounters with the dreaded Question 4. Here's mine: after reading the question, given my state of mind during the test, I was unable to think up of the method. With ten minutes left on the clock, I thought it wise to proceed to check my other questions instead.
